Day 1: Jerusalem & Bethlehem
We start the first day of the tour with an overview of the new city of Jerusalem and old city’s Temple Mount Esplanade. We proceed towards the wall of City and Garden of Gethsemane through the valley of Kidron. From here we move to the Western Wailing through the local bazaar from where we visit the Church of Holy Sepulchre i.e. the place of crucifixion and also the station of cross. We then walk through one of oldest streets of the world i.e. the Byzantine main street which is supposed to be more than 1700 years old.
King David was born in Bethlehem; Bethlehem was known so for the huge harvest of wheat crop. As per Christian tradition, Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem. We visit the Nativity Circle i.e. place of Jesus’s birth and also the place where Jesus was kept after birth i.e. Manger Square. In Bethlehem, we make it a point to visit the Catholic and Greek churches and also Milk Grotto, the place where Mother Mary fed Jesus. After an overview of Shepherd fields and a short visit to the Church, we return for overnight stay at Jerusalem.
Day 2: Massada and the Dead Sea
We proceed to the Judean desert through the inn of Good Samaritan. A cable car ride at Massada to visit the fortress built by King Herod about 2000 years ago is simply the best ride one can have in his or her lifetime. We drive through the Qumran and Ein Gedi to view the caves where scrolls of Dead Sea were found. A float on the mineral rich sea that too 400m below sea level is truly awesome. After ensuring that everyone takes benefit from all the therapeutic qualities of Dead Sea’s mud, we return Jerusalem after a short stop at the Old Roman road and Jerico.
