Day 1: Jerusalem – Old and New
The view of the New city of Jerusalem is truly beautiful from Mount of Olives and this is where we start our tour from. From the Mt. of Olives, we also get a wonderful view of Temple Mount Esplanade of Old city. We continue with our tour along the Kidron valley to get a view of Walls of City and also Garden of Gethsemane. The Western Wall Square is one place that everyone wishes to visit and we visit this place on this very day of the tour. We enter the square through Armenian Quarter from where we proceed via local bazaar to reach our next destination i.e. Christian Quarter, site of crucifixion and Stations of the Cross.
Our tour continue with a walking tour along old Byzantine main street, which is more than 1700 year old and then to Cardo and finally to the refurbished Jewish Quarters. After the walking tour, we proceed to Mount Zion and if your tour falls on Saturday then you would have an opportunity to witness David’s tomb and also the Hall of Last Supper. Finally, we travel in a car to the new city and visit the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum before stopping over for the night.
Day 2: Dead Sea Relaxation
Our day starts with a visit to Judean Desert passing through the Inn of Good Samaritan; from where we get an excellent view of Jericho. We stop at one of the resorts on the mineral rich Dead Sea’s shore. Make the most of the few hours you get at the resort by experience floating without giving any effort on your own back. We end the tour with a visit to the cave from where scroll of Dead Sea were found i.e. the Qumran cave 4.
